The Play Store is getting a fresh Material You update
In 2021, the Google Play Store was updated with a minor touch of Material You design. This update was limited to certain areas and was not applicable to every area of the app. Although many applications from Google were being updated with new material, there was no space for the Play Store to be getting this. However, now it’s finally announced, and it seems to be a change for the Play Store as well.

As per reports via 9to5Google, the latest material for account switchers was introduced and experienced by some users in the Play Store this week. It appears on the right corner of your app’s menu as an avatar icon and is a point for finding a list of all of your pending updates, along with notifications and offers. The revamped menu is nearly identical to the previous version, as are the options.However, the popup menu is changed to have rounded corners, and it also contains a concentric area with a darker background that contains all items from the main menu.
With this latest update, the Play Store is dynamically getting a new theme. It’s like extracting colours from your phone’s background and setting them up as a shade of grey or a white background in your app and menus. As we can observe, the latest play store update has brought a dynamic background theme with it, which can be included as a part of the update.
Even if you upgrade the Play Store app from APKMirror to the most recent version, you’ll still see the old UI until Google decides it wants to send you some Material You Love.
