New iPad Pro Delivery Could Be Delayed To July

Anyone who wants to purchase one of Apple’s new iPad Pro models will have to be patient. Because before the summer, the newly presented devices will in fact no longer be available, the delivery dates are being pushed back further and further.

Apple activated the option to pre-order on Friday. Previously it was said that the devices will then be delivered from the second half of May. However, this date did not last very long. The quotas that the manufacturer can provide for the originally targeted start of delivery were exhausted fairly quickly due to high demand.

In the meantime, customers have to wait a lot longer. With most variants, you can now expect to get the new iPad Pro at the end of June. In some cases, the expected delivery dates that were specified when pre-ordering have been postponed to July. Usually, the information that Apple gives when ordering is quite realistic.

Demand vs. Bottlenecks

Of course, nothing further becomes clear from the data in the company’s online shop. So how many devices were ordered and what exactly caused the fast delays. However, due to the fact that the home office trend is becoming a fixture in everyday working life and will continue even after the relative end of the pandemic, the need for such mobile systems is likely to remain quite high. In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook had already stated during the presentation of the quarterly results last week that the bottlenecks in the chip area could also affect the iPad line.

With the presentation of the new iPad Pro, Apple was quite a surprise. Because with the tablet you no longer rely on the iPhone SoC as before but instead uses the new M1 chip, which was developed for notebooks and desktop systems and provides significantly more power.
